    Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Townships the chalet is perfectly located for your winter wonderland escapade!  

    Spend days alpine skiing at Mont Orford (5 km), XC skiing or snowshoeing at Parc Orford (2.5 km), ice skating in front of Lake Memphremagog (7km), relaxing at a Nordic Spa (8km), or building a snowman in the front yard. 

    Finishing off your day snuggled in front of a fire with hot chocolate might make for the most perfect day ever.

    Welcome to Chalet Stockholm!  

    True joy comes from being surrounded by things that evoke feelings of happiness and contentment.  Our chalet was designed as a retreat to surround yourself in friends, family, and nature.  Feel your stress melt away from the cozy, bright and open spaces that were inspired by the  Scandinavian concept of hygge. 

    The chalet blends modern amenities while preserving the charming original 70's style ski chalet architecture.  With many large and luminous windows on the front of the chalet, you will feel surrounded by nature even when you are inside.  

    This chalet is ideal for 4 people.  Such as a couple, a small group of friends, or a small family.  It might be possible to squeeze 5 depending on the party.  If you have 5 people, please ask us if this chalet might be suitable for your group.

    Location: One of the best parts about the chalet is that it is located in the very charming Cheribourg neighborhood.  Built in the 1970s, this ski chalet community is very tranquil and perfect for adopting a slower pace of life while soaking up nature.  It is ideal for couples, families, or friends that are looking for a low-key and relaxing place. Because of this, it is not an area for parties or loud behavior.  The "no party" policy and quiet rules are enforced at all times. We totally understand that life is full of good reasons to celebrate with a party.  In fact, we love a fun party, but in the appropriate place.   Due to the tranquility of the neighborhood, our chalets are not the right venue for hosting events.  Please see the Chalet Rules below for more information relating to visitors and parties. 

    Kitchen: A cozy chalet also needs a cozy kitchen!  The appliances are not full-sized appliances.  But the chalet is fully equipped with many appliances including a refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and fondue pot.  It is fully equipped for staying in and cooking.  

    Note: The coffee maker is single-serving Keurig compatible.  We do supply coffee with re-usable pods, but feel free to bring along your favorite Keurig compatible pods as well!   

    Heating: In addition to electric baseboard heat there is also a wood-burning fireplace that is perfect for cozying up for a Netflix binge, reading a book, or playing games with family and friends.   We try to keep firewood available and you're welcome to use any firewood that may be in either in the house or stacked outside.  If there is not any firewood available, it can be easily purchased at one of the many grocery stores or depanneurs close to the chalet.  

    Outdoor Patio: One of the best parts of the neighborhood is the many large trees. There is no better way to enjoy it than on the beautiful terrace which features an outdoor lounge area for sipping either a glass of wine or a mug of coffee. Note: During the winter months (approximately Nov - April) the outdoor furniture & BBQ are not available as it is packed and covered to protect it from winter weather.   

    Bedrooms & Sleeping Spaces: The chalet can comfortably accommodate 4 guests.  There are 2 bedrooms located upstairs.  Both bedrooms have a queen bed with new mattresses & pillows.      

    Bathrooms: The chalet has 1 full-size bathroom.  The bathroom is located downstairs and includes a full-size bathtub.  

    Bedding & Linens: Sheets and other bedding are provided for all the sleeping spaces.  Bath towels are also provided for our guests. 

    Technology: The chalet has a 43" flatscreen HDTV with access to Netflix in the main living area.  In addition, the chalet is equipped with high-speed wifi.  

    Pet-Friendly: Since we love 4-legged family members, all of our chalets are pet-friendly.  Make sure you tell us about your pet with the reservation request.  Please note that we do reserve the right to refuse any pets.  Please see the Chalet Rules below for more rules about bringing your pet along.

    Other notable amenities include:

    Things to know:

    - The kitchen is small like the chalet, so the appliances are not full-size appliances.  

    - If you have pet allergies please be aware this chalet may not be a good fit for you.  

    - The stairs are steep, so if you have young children or people in your group with mobility issues, please consider this when choosing the chalet.

    - The chalet does not have air conditioning.  It is equipped with a dehumidifier portable fans.

    - The chalet does not have cable or satellite TV but does include access to Netflix.

    - Parking: The driveway will accommodate 2 cars (3 if you squeeze tight).  Due to very limited overflow parking, we suggest limiting cars to the number the driveway will accommodate.

    - Infants & Children: While we do host families with infants and children in our properties please be aware that they are not child proofed (cabinet door latches, electric socket covers, baby gates, etc.) and we do not provide amenities for children (high chair, crib, pack & play, etc.).

    Chalet Rules: By submitting a reservation request you agree to these terms.  So please read them before submitting your reservation request to make sure the chalet is a good fit for you.

    - The primary renter must be 25 years or older and must be present during the stay.

    - Only registered guests that are included on the reservation are permitted to stay at the chalet. Please ensure that the correct number of guests is reflected in your reservation request. Visitors must be approved in advance. For example, hosting a dinner or BBQ in which guests other than those included on the reservation will attend must be approved.

    - Absolutely no smoking of any type. The chalet is inspected immediately upon checkout and any trace of smoking is immediately identifiable to the proceeding guests. Any additional cleaning required by the presence of smoking will result in the additional cost being automatically deducted from the deposit.

    - The chalet is 100% party fee. We have a zero-tolerance policy that will result in immediate eviction from the property without a refund and the responsible guest that rented the chalet will be 100% responsible for additional cleaning costs and all damage incurred. So if you are looking for a place for a social event and without a noise policy, this is not the right place for you.   

    - Please remove shoes in the house as outside elements can ruin the floors.

    - Outdoor sporting equipment is not allowed in the house as they can ruin the floors. Since we know so many people come to enjoy the outdoor activities, we do provide outside cabins with locks to store your equipment in. Guests are 100% responsible for the security of their items and the owners of the chalet are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

    Check-out: We have a few check-out requirements that will only take a few minutes of your time and helps us to keep our chalets affordable.    

    1. Generally, leave the chalet in good condition and return any moved items back to their original location.

    2. Empty the waste into the appropriate outside bins

    3. Discard any food you are not taking with you. 

    4. Wash your dirty dishes or place them in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher before leaving.  

    5. Place all used bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, and sheets by the washing machine.

    6. Cover outdoor furniture.  Clean the BBQ and make sure the propane is closed (if you used it).

    Pets: We love pets and understand how difficult it is to find accommodations that permit pets which is why our properties are pet-friendly. However, we do have rules that must be adhered to and if we find the rules are not being followed, we will have to remove the policy allowing pets. So please be respectful of our property and of future guests when bringing your 4-legged family member.

    1. Only social and 100% house-trained pets are permitted at the chalet both for security and the protection of our property.

    2. Pets are not allowed on any furniture and if we detect pets fur or other signs of pets on any furniture an additional $50 cleaning fee will automatically be charged.

    3. Always clean up after your pets.  This applies not only to the chalet property but the Cheribourg community.  Please respect our future guests and other residents of the community by cleaning up after your pets.   

    4. When walking your pets off of our property, they must be on a leash at all times.

    5. Pet parents are 100% responsible for any damage caused by their pets. The chalets are inspected and cleaned thoroughly between each guest making damage identifiable to the immediately proceeding guest.

    6. Please provide us with details about your pets when making your reservations. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any booking if we are not comfortable that the house rules for pets will be observed.

    Home access

    The house and all that is in it is fully accessible to our guests with the exception of a storage closet where we keep our items.

    Host availibility

    We live in Montreal during the week and spend most of our weekends in Orford.  However, regardless of where we are we are fully available to our guests here on the platform, text, and telephone.  

    Our goal is to make check-in/out and communication with us so seamless you don't need us.  But we do love meeting our guests when we have the opportunity!

    A historic Quebec community of ski chalets there is a tranquil ambiance that comes from being surrounded by nature.  A mix of full-time residences, weekenders, and visitors it is always welcoming.  Even when we lived here full time, we always had the feeling that we were on vacation!

    Orford: Close enough to walk or take your bikes to the shops, restaurants, and parks.  

    Magog: Both the town and the lake are accessible by either by bike or car.

Nous savons que un grand nombre de invitées qui viennent profiter des activités de plein air, nous fournissons des cabines extérieures avec serrures pour ranger votre équipement. Les clients sont responsables à 100% de la sécurité de leurs objets et les propriétaires du chalet ne sont pas responsables des objects pertes ou volés.

    - Nous avons quelques demandes lors du départ. Ces demandes visent à réduire les coûts de nettoyage pour permettre de garder nos chalets abordables.

    1. En règle générale, laissez le chalet en bon état et retournez les articles déplacés à leur emplacement d'origine.

    2. Sortez les poubelles dans les bacs extérieurs appropriés.

    3. Jeter tout aliment que vous ne prenez pas avec vous.

    4. Lavez votre vaisselle sale ou placez-la au lave-vaisselle et démarrez le lave-vaisselle avant de partir.

    - Animaux domestiques: nous aimons les animaux domestiques et comprenons à quel point il est difficile de trouver un hébergement qui le permet. C'est pourquoi nos propriétés acceptent les animaux domestiques. Cependant, nous avons des règles qui doivent être respectées et si nous trouvons que les règles ne sont pas suivies, nous devrons supprimer la politique autorisant les animaux domestiques. Alors s'il vous plaît soyez respectueux de notre propriété et des futurs invités lorsque vous apportez votre membre de la famille à 4 pattes.

    1. Seuls les animaux domestiques et 100% dressés sont autorisés au chalet, à la fois pour des raisons de sécurité et pour la protection de notre propriété.

    2. Les animaux domestiques ne sont pas autorisés sur les meubles et si nous détectons des poils d'animaux ou d'autres signes d'animaux sur les meubles, des frais de nettoyage de 50 $ supplémentaires seront automatiquement facturés.

    3. Toujours nettoyer après vos animaux domestiques. Cela vaut non seulement pour le chalet mais aussi pour la communauté de Cheribourg. S'il vous plaît respecter nos futurs invités et les autres résidents de la communauté en nettoyant après vos animaux domestiques.

    4. Lorsque vous promenez vos animaux domestiques hors de notre propriété, ils doivent être tenus en laisse en tout temps.

    5. Les parents d’animaux sont responsables à 100% de tout dommage causé par leurs animaux. Les chalets sont inspectés et nettoyés minutieusement entre chaque invité, ce qui permet d’identifier les dommages identifiables.

    Welcome to Chalets Hygge! Hi - I am a southern US girl who married a French Canadian and moved to Quebec. We just recently moved from Quebec to Vancouver to start a new adventure! However, we adore our ski chalets in Quebec so we decided to keep them and share one of our favorite spots in the world with others! A few of our favorite things are: traveling, almost anything outdoors, cycling trips around the world, experiencing other cultures and meeting other people. We love that we are able to share one of our favorite corners of the world, experience other places from a more personal perspective, and meet people we would have otherwise never met!
