The Chalet des retrouvailles is a luxurious property on the banks of Lac-à-la-Truite in Adstock, 15 minutes from Thetford Mines. The calm and grandeur of the Lake will dazzle you as much in summer as in winter. You will have access, from the chalet, to a multitude of activities in the Asbestos region.The chalet is rated 4 stars by corporation in the Quebec tourism industry and we have all the necessary certifications to do short-term rentals.
The chalet is a recent construction in a contemporary style. All floors are made of heated concrete for maximum comfort and style.There are two large common areas, on the ground floor - Lounge, dining rooms with a table that can accommodate 10 people and the kitchen with a large island with 6 benches. In the middle, Don bar's 4-sided fireplace brings a beautiful warmth to this large room. The ceiling is 16 feet high and the windows are full wall with a majestic view of the lake.The other common space is on the garden level with a billiard table, a darts game and a lounge.Outside, you will have several common spaces - a very large balcony, a patio around the fireplace, a couch area near the lake, a more secluded area with a hammock, a beach on the lake shore, a dock. In addition, we have more than 10 outdoor chairs that you can move as you wish.By the lake, you can swim in one of the cleanest lakes in Quebec. We provide you with the following equipment: 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 2 mountain bikes, 2 pairs of snowshoes, life jackets, board games, logs for fireplaces, children's games.Home access

We are the owners of the chalet, but we will not be on site to welcome you. You will have access to the chalet with a remote control access code. We will be available to answer all your questions before and during your booking by phone or text.Other things to know

The Asbestos region is known for its mines and you can enjoy the open pit mine as you head to Black Lake (about 20 minutes from the cottage). You can also visit the Asbestos Museum in Thetford Mines. If this is your first time in the area, you will certainly be curious to see the piles of asbestos debris that are part of the history.Beyond Asbestos, the region is known for its multitude of hiking trails. From the Chalet, you can hike to several nearby trails, including the Mount Adstock Snowshoe Trail, Quad Trail and Doo Ski Trail. You can also access the summit of Mount Adstock, on foot or by hiking, in less than 45 minutes from the chalet and have a superb view of Lac-à-la-Truite, Grand Lac St-François and the region. In winter, the doo ski slope passes directly on the lake. Mount Adstock, less than 15 minutes by car from the Chalet, is ideal for downhill or cross-country skiing in winter and golf in summer.Travelling around
