My husband and I had a great time at this Airbnb. Very romantic and secluded. I couldn’t tear myself away from the view!! Absolutely stunning and very private.

It’s a beautiful cottage in a serene setting and unfortunately the upkeep is lacking. It’s a shame because it’s the type of place we’d come back to again. We encountered many of the same issues mentioned in previous listings. I.e. The dining room chairs were wobbly, there are large carpenter ants in the house, the grill starter was broken and grill is not well maintained, the spa was serviced but obviously the water is never changed as there is a ring around it. And my son also stepped on a piece of glass downstairs where chards must have been left from a previous stay. This said the bones of the cottage are beautiful. We loved the view, the design, and you can see that a lot of attention was put into it. A lot of the issues are not obvious unless you use the home. I suggest the owner or management company live in it for a few days so they can properly address issues with the property.

Wish we had read more reviews before booking here as we ran into what many others seem to have as well. The house was 33 degrees Celsius (91 Fahrenheit) when we arrived. Because they only have a small wall AC unit, it took an entire day to cool down and made sleeping very uncomfortable. A few other major issues include: I cut my foot on glass from a previous stay that was left on the rug, the wine bottle opener is broken, the grill’s starter is broken, the “blackout” shades don’t block out the light at all, and the welcome guide includes many outdated instructions that took a while to navigate around. Beautiful location, though. If a bit more care was given to this property, it would be wonderful.

My friends and I had a great time at this property. It is so beautiful and the hot tub is incredible at night. One review said that the home wasn't equipped with tools for cooking so we brought everything up ourselves but that wasn't necessary. Hélène has everything you would need from pots and pans to plates and silverware. We stopped at the local market about 10 mins away and stocked up on food and drinks. It's a great entertaining space with an open layout. We really enjoyed our time here!

This place is true to its description in Airbnb and more - quiet and peaceful surroundings with amazing view of the St Laurence - almost mesmerizing to watch in hope of seeing more whales out at sea! I treated my Mum and Sister to a ‘girls only’ family long weekend in QC, and this place did not disappoint for uniqueness. I would advise stayers to bring their own supplies for eating/drinking in as there is not anything ‘local’ (unless you are OK to drive, but not much to choose from in mid October). A ‘must do’ for all stayers - sleep with the curtains open so that the sunrise on the bay wakes you up and you can stare out to the blackness at night. A few tips on what see see in less than 1 hour from this beautiful house - 1. Drive 1 hour to Baie St Catherine marine observation point: we saw schools of belugas and minkes right from the shore. 2. Drive 30 mins (a little north of La Malbaie) down to Port Au Persil -little pier, church, and great viewing of even more Beluga whales popping out of the water off the shoreline. Beautiful cove. Also, a lovely wee donkey sanctuary on the way out on the south road. I look forward to my next stay at this location, this time with my husband, hopefully next Fall. Thank you Helene for a wonderful location.

This house is amazing! Words can't express how wonderful the view is. It's so peaceful and very calming to your soul. We came in mid April, and the weather was still cold and wet. We look forward to coming back in the summer months so we really enjoy all this house has to offer! The hot tub was a great touch, and the house is very clean and one of the best decorated homes we've stayed in. The beds are firm and cozy, and the bathroom has the amenities of a 5-star hotel room! The drive to Quebec City wasn't bad at all and very scenic! We definitely recommend staying here if you can!

Nothing to complain about at Helene's place, other than weak internet. The place is fabulous. Coming from New York I'm use to posting my pictures after my excursions. Internet kept coming on and off. You're better off calling your own provider and extending your service. Again being a New Yorker, we don't drive on the snow as often as Canadian' do, so if you're not Canadian you might find it difficult to get to Helen e's place in the snow. Luckily, I had a four wheel drive truck. I will be recommending this place to my friends.
