The house was mostly as described. Beautiful setting on the lake and enjoyed the use of the paddle boat. Convenient to St. Come. Good directions that were mappable from (Hidden by Airbnb) . Downstairs fireplace was nice, as was the deck and outside seating.Unfortunately, this did not truly feel like an AirBNB-worthy property, but more of a weekly vacation rental. I did not feel like I was a guest at someone's home, but a weekly tenant. The kitchen is stocked with basically zero staples; not a peppercorn, paper towel or sugar granule for coffee. Spice jars sitting around empty. These aren't huge issues for an in-town rental, but when you're a ten minute drive from anything, and you're a fly-in visitor without much space to bring essentials, this got to be frustrating rather quickly. I'm sure if you're planning to stay for 7 days or so, and are a local, this shouldn't be such a big deal.Overall, the entire place was in a very worn (well loved) state. Casement windows that had the cranks broken off, window blinds that fall on you if you try to open/close them, dusty vents and broken sliding door locks. Nice grill on back deck, but was heavily caked with grease causing flare-ups, so that was only used once. Also, the expectation of a guest to maintain the spa is not realistic. I'm on a vacation, not in spa maintenance school. When staying for 3 days, the amenities should be ready for use and not requiring maintenance during our short stay.If you're intending to telecommute or having many users on WiFi, you will experience a lot of slowness as it is satellite Internet. This isn't a problem with the property, but with the technology of satellite Internet.
