In a Few Words
The Chalet de La Baie is a magnificent retreat right in the middle of the forest, with no neighbours nearby. It is located in a bay on the Coulombe River that connects to Lake Aylmer (with small boats). It is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the sauna, spa and nature! As you stroll along the river, you'll have the chance to catch a glimpse of..: Beaver, river otter, barnacle...and a wonderful landscape! Fishing is also on the menu! Welcome to nature lovers!
About this property
The chalet is very welcoming with its open-plan ground floor. You can contemplate the view of the water from the living room. On the same floor there is: A bedroom with 1 queen size bed, a bathroom with washer-dryer, a smart TV with Netflix, a wii, internet with fibre 60 mbps, underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, wood stove for auxiliary heating (wood provided).
Upstairs there are two large bedrooms, each with 1 queen-size bed and 4 single beds (trundle beds), a bathroom and a sauna.
In winter, snowmobilers are welcome! You can leave directly from the chalet to reach the federated slopes. The garage is heated and available for your snowmobile. The outdoor fireplace is available to warm you up (wood is provided). The spa and sauna are available for your relaxation. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails are close by. You can also enjoy a skating ring on the lake with music and lighting. Ice fishing is permitted on the lake.
In summer, you can go kayaking (2), canoeing or pedal-boating on Lake Aylmer or the Coulombe River, which are available to you at all times. You can add an electric motor to your canoe. For swimming, there is about 2 ft of water. The bottom is muddy and there are aquatic plants. While out on the water, you can swim in the river where there are numerous rocky beaches. There is also the magnificent Stratford beach just 10 minutes away. Fishing enthusiasts can find a wide variety of fish (walleye, pike, bass, catfish, yellow perch, etc.) directly in the bay and at the mouth of the river and lake near the small bridge. There are many activities available in the area. (The Vélo-rail, cycle path, beach at Stratford, Mont Ham, waterfall trail, mini-put... ) Chez Marlo snack bar is at the end of the street from the chalet.
A cabin is available for indoor and outdoor firewood. It's included in your package!
