The house underwent a major expansion during 2016 and several renovations during the containment period (March-April 2020).

Its new in-floor heating system provides even heat and comfort during cold winters.

The house is also used by the owners' family, which means that it is fully equipped: sheets, towels, basic ingredients for cooking, food processor, washer + dryer, fridge, firewood, outdoor table + chairs, patio heater, BBQ, high chair, crib, safety gate for children, changing table, etc ...

You'll find everything you need to have a great time with your family without any hassle.

The entire house is available to visitors, except for the garage next door.

** Attention in winter **

You will notice that to access the rue du Geai Bleu, you will have to go down a small slope of about 30m. With our up and down winters (cold, mild, re-cold, re-mild), the slope can become icy. Although we maintain the slope by bringing in sand trucks, there is a limit to what we can do. You should therefore be careful if your stay coincides with a period of thaw or a snow/ice/freezing rain storm. For those with a 4x4 there is no problem but for cars, you can park just up the coast.

St-Alexis-des-Monts is renowned for its large forests and rivers. It is also home to the "Festival de la truite mouchetée" (speckled trout festival), in honor of this species that is very present in the region's waterways.

The heart of the village is less than 5 minutes away by car, which is very practical when we forgot an ingredient for our recipe! In this same village, you will find restaurants, grocery store (with integrated SAQ), banks, pharmacy, snowmobile and canoe rental, etc...

The entrance to the house is located at the bottom of a slope. Be careful in winter, you may have difficulty going up the slope if there is a snowstorm or if it starts to rain/freeze in a short time, which creates ice on the road. Usually, the road is cleaned within 24-48 hours by a private snow plow.

There are approximately 3-4 parking spaces in the main entrance of the house, in front of the garage. If you need more parking, you can leave a car where there is a small green "P" at the end of the road.
